Christ-centered love provided hope after the explosion rocked Beirut, Lebanon. One Joshua Fund partner decided to immediately help. From picking up debris and shattered glass to covering windows with plastic, there will be work to be done for many months, with some 300,000 displaced persons.
The Joshua Fund (TJF) supports many churches, pastors & gospel workers throughout the Middle East. One TJF supported church in the region recently received this letter from a woman whose life was transformed out the religion of Islam.
Reflect on your experiences as a young person, navigating university life and the transition to adulthood. If you were a believer then, your faith was no doubt challenged. Envision going through this in a setting where you have few peers who share your faith. Perhaps you would have secret struggles and wouldn’t be confident you really understand your Bible. Many young believers in Israel experience these feelings. Add to that the sudden and disorienting shock of a world shutdown caused by a pandemic. But God provides for His people in ways that we do not expect!
Samantha is an abandoned single mother, with two boys and now a baby. When The Joshua Fund’s (TJF) Israeli Team met her, it seemed the joy of having birthed a young child was so distant. There was more silence than talking and a feeling of sadness filled the air. We arrived as a group of four to distribute food packs with enough food to supplement someone with modest means.
