Pray with us . . .

Pray with us . . .

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 1 Timothy 2:1,2

While our hope and expectation is not tied to our political leaders, but to God, we are also exhorted in Scripture to pray for our leaders and therefore we encourage you to join The Joshua Fund in praying for world leaders as they are gathered in New York at the United Nations.  Join us in asking for the Lord’s wisdom and guidance in this fragile world environment.

Please join us in praying faithfully for the people of Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Egypt as violence continues, people are displaced from their homes and communities and lives are lost. We pray for our brothers and sisters who are in harm’s way, that our Lord would give them protection and courage, as well as provision for food, water and shelter each day.   Please pray for peace in the region, and for courage and boldness for the Christians there to spread the Gospel, for many to come to Christ, and for the Church to be the agent of hope and forgiveness.

Please join us always in praying for Israel, for the leaders and her people, for God’s protection and guidance as violence continues in the surrounding countries.

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

As I write this, it has been 32 hours since all the cell phones in Israel woke us up at 3 am with a very unusual message: We are in a State of Extreme National Emergency. Stay near a place of shelter. All gatherings, educational and work activities are cancelled until further notice. We were told to check that our bomb shelters were prepared and stocked with food and water.
