MacArthur Describes Interview with Millennial Conservative on Rosenberg Podcast
In Part 1 of Pastor John MacArthur’s conversation on Inside The Epicenter with Joel C. Rosenberg, MacArthur states that he’d like to be chained to Ben Shapiro. In Part 2, he explains why.
Episode 34 of Inside The Epicenter features John MacArthur as he continues his conversation with Joel C. Rosenberg and Dr. Carl Moeller at The MacArthur Center for Expository Preaching in Los Angeles.
A central theme of the episode is common ground. MacArthur describes how he and millennial conservative and Orthodox Jew Ben Shapiro were able to find that during an interview on his daily podcast show.
MacArthur recalled the shared respect and the confidence they both had in what they believed, sharing that knowledge of Scripture was the base for their common ground and that they both wanted to spend more time together.
The trio also discusses the importance of common ground in evangelism, using Apostle Paul and his approach to connect with people, Jews or Gentiles, as a model.
Rosenberg explains that this approach is at the core of The Joshua Fund, which seeks to provide humanitarian aid and ministry support to both Israel and Her Neighbors in the name of Jesus. And MacArthur encourages Christians that compassion, love, kindness, and tender mercy will always have more impact on people than spectacle.
Touching briefly on Biblical prophecy, MacArthur shares that he believes that we are near the rapture of the Church as the world appears to be in a place that fits the scenario of the Book of Revelation.
