Pray with us . . . As Israel calls up 40,000 IDF reservists for a possible ground invasion of Gaza

Please join The Joshua Fund in praying for peace along the border between Israel and Gaza as rocket fire continues to escalate in the region. The Israeli cabinet authorized the call up to 40,000 IDF reservists, preparing for a possible ground invasion of Gaza. Please be praying the Lord would restore calm on the southern border and a new ground war will not be necessary. Please pray for Israeli leaders to have  the wisdom to know how best to protect their citizens, and for safety for Israelis and Palestinians caught in the crossfire.

Please be praying for all followers of Jesus Christ on both sides of the border, for the Lord’s protection and that they would hear clearly from the Lord how to minister the love of Jesus to those in fear and in need around them.‎ We ask the Lord to comfort his people on both sides, reveal His Word to them, and draw them to Himself. Thank you for joining with us as we pray for the Lord’s peace and protection for the land of Israel and Gaza.

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold Psalm 18:2

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. Psalm 122:6

As I write this, it has been 32 hours since all the cell phones in Israel woke us up at 3 am with a very unusual message: We are in a State of Extreme National Emergency. Stay near a place of shelter. All gatherings, educational and work activities are cancelled until further notice. We were told to check that our bomb shelters were prepared and stocked with food and water.
