Warning from Egypt’s Army Chief - Could there be a collapse?

The Egyptian Army Chief this week warned that the current crisis in Egypt could have detrimental consequences if both sides of the country’s political divide do not find a solution to the rapidly spreading protests and riots nationwide.

Demonstrations throughout the country erupted six days ago by protests marking the two-year anniversary of the start of the uprising that toppled former president Mubarak.  Additionally, violence in the city of Port Said sparked on Saturday when a court sentenced 21 people to death over a violent soccer riot in that area last year.

Over 40 people have been killed in Port Said, with reports of at least 60 people killed and hundreds injured across the country from the recent protests.
