The Joshua Fund’s Response to the Fire in Israel

In the Hebrew Scriptures, the Prophet Isaiah writes, “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; remove the evil of your deeds from My sight. Cease to do evil, learn to do good; seek justice, reprove the ruthless, defend the orphan, plead for the widow” (Isaiah 1:16-18).

In the New Testament, the Apostle James writes, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world” (James 1:27).

With these Scriptures in mind, The Joshua Fund is partnering with several agencies and ministries to deliver relief to an orphanage that suffered extensive damage due to the Carmel fires of December. We are in the process of delivering funds that will help to rebuild an orphanage in Israel that cares for hundreds of children from many countries around the world. Funds are specifically being directed to rebuild the educational resource center and buy supplies, including books, multimedia equipment, and classroom supplies.
