So the Disciples…Prepared the Passover

“It is the Passover sacrifice of the LORD, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt when He struck the Egyptians and delivered our households.” So the people bowed their heads and worshiped. – Exodus 12:27

Passover is one of the most important Jewish holidays and commemorates the deliverance of God’s people from slavery in Egypt. Unfortunately, with 1 in 4 people living below the poverty level in Israel, there are many families and individuals who are unable to celebrate the Passover holiday. With your assistance, The Joshua Fund was able to help many impoverished Israelis celebrate the Passover this year. Through our ministry partners in Israel, we were able to distribute Passover food items and goods to approximately 8,000 people, including poor and needy Jewish individuals and families, Holocaust survivors, Ethiopian families, lone soldiers, and needy mothers. The food distributed included matzah, fruits, veggies, pastries, and other items.

One Holocaust survivor who received the goods distributed for the Passover this year made Aliyah to Israel in the 1990’s and suffers from terminal cancer. He was very blessed to have the opportunity to share the Passover with his family and enjoy the provisions he received. We are thankful to the Lord for the opportunity to care for him in this way and we are asking the Lord to bless his family in the knowledge of God’s love.
Thank you for enabling The Joshua Fund to serve the needy in Israel in this way. May the Lord bless you as you bless Israel and her neighbors in the name of Jesus!

So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover. – Matthew 26:19
