Why Did Jesus Cross the Jordan River in His Earthly Ministry?

“Why did Jesus cross the boundary of the Jordan River in His earthly ministry?  Why would He cross over when there are not Jewish people on that side of the river? Didn’t he tell us in that He was sent to the lost sheep of Israel in Matthew 15:24? “But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Why then would He cross? The lost sheep had largely rejected Him for one and the ancient prophecies said that Jesus would save people from all tribes and tongues, not just Israel. Isaiah 49:6 tells us that God’s salvation will reach to the ends of the earth.”  Joel C. Rosenberg

“Indeed He says,  ‘It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob, And to restore the preserved ones of Israel; I will also give You as a light to the Gentiles,
That You should be My salvation to the ends of the earth.’” Isaiah 49:6

We were told to check that our bomb shelters were prepared and stocked with food and water.
